Linda Joyce Whetstone Martensen

Linda Martensen, 64, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Oldorf Hospice Home in Hiawatha following a strong and courageous four-year fight with cancer.
No services are planned at this time. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa has been entrusted with Linda’s care.
Surviving are her husband, Larry, and five siblings, Bonnie Pfeif of Aurora, Colorado, Arlene Mae Harris of Beaumont, Colorado, Mary Ann Young of Lebanon, Missouri, Ronnie Whetstone of Lebanon, Missouri, and Darrell Ray Whetstone, Dinosaur, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, and six brothers, Robert, William, Frank, Raymond, Charles and Larry Whetstone.
Linda Joyce Whetstone was born July 27, 1952, at Fort Morgan, Colorado. She was the daughter of Frank and Anna Mae (Koshier) Whetstone. She attended school in the Fort Morgan area. Linda was employed at Niagara Envelope and Williams House Envelope in Fort Morgan. In 1996, she moved to Monticello where she married Larry Martensen on August 12, 1997, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello. She was employed at Orbis in Monticello until 2013 when she was diagnosed with cancer.
Linda loved to go camping and traveling, spending time with family and friends, and having a margarita with salt on the rim at night.
