Thomas D. Wilkey “Indian Tom” passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at his home in Morley.
He was born to Berniece Nichols in 1944 in Alameda, California. Tom was a carpenter and spent most of his life in the Rifle, Colorado area.
He is survived by Linda Jackson, his special friend of seventeen years, mother Berniece at the Anamosa Care Center; son, Mike (Treva) Wilkey of Lakewood, California; great-niece Haley of Grand Junction, Colorado, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Ann; and niece, Kara.
Tom served on the Morley town council for five years. He was also a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe.
A celebration of life will be held from 3 – 6 p.m. on May 7 at his home in Morley.
