| Thomas D. Wilkey “Indian Tom” passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at his home in Morley.He was born to Berniece Nichols in 1944 in Alameda, California. Tom was a carpenter and spent most of his life in the Rifle, Colorado area.He is survived by Linda Jackson, his special friend of seventeen years, mother Berniece at the Anamosa Care Center; son, Mike (Treva) Wilkey of Lakewood, California; great-niece Haley of Grand Junction, Colorado, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Ann; and niece, Kara.Tom served on the Morley town council for five years. He was also a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe.A celebration of life will be held from 3 – 6 p.m. on May 7 at his home in Morley.
