Roberta Winchip Sievers
July 29, 1922 – September 29, 2018
Roberta Sievers, 96, of Anamosa, passed away peacefully September 29, 2018, at Anamosa Care Center.
Roberta was born July 29, 1922, in Olin, the daughter of Alvin and Bella Winchip. She graduated from Olin High School in 1939. She married the love of her life, Irvin Sievers, on May 10, 1942. While Irvin was in the Army, she worked in Anamosa, Kansas and Oklahoma. After Irvin’s discharge, they farmed the family farm near Wyoming until 1978. Roberta loved the farm, outdoors, music, dancing, cards and being with family and many friends. Her family was very special to her.
She is survived by daughter, Kathleen (Tim) Nolte of Las Vegas, Nevada; son, Gary (Karen) Sievers of Wyoming; grandchildren, Michael (Amber) Nolte, Shauna (Joe Jenkins) Nolte, Matthew (Angela) Sievers, Tyler (Meghan) Sievers and Kyle (Sara) Sievers; great-grandchildren, Alexander Nolte, Andy Jenkins, Addison and Rigg Sievers, Lillian and Eliza Sievers and Lucas Sievers; sister-in-law, Lois Winchip, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980; parents; sister and brother-in-law, Ardith and Don Gray; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Alice Winchip; brother, Mitchell Winchip; and infant brother Virgin Winchip.
Per her wishes, there will be a private graveside service at a later date with burial at Wyoming Cemetery.
