Josephine Wolfe Schwartz

Josephine Schwartz, 93, died Thursday, June 25, 1998, in Hallmark Care Center, Mount Vernon, following a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, by the Rev. Kirk Stump. Burial: Monmouth Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Sindelar of Marion, Marilyn Harnish of Cedar Rapids and Karla Sprague of Connecticut; two sons, Lotus, Jr., of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Galen of Center Point; two brothers, William Wolfe of Waukon and Harold Wolfe of Belvedere, Illinois; and three sisters, Mary Currie of Anamosa, Pauline Durgin and Mildred Oveson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lotus, in 1955; one brother, Henry; and three sisters, Lorraine Voss, Helen Babak and Hazel Rich.
Josephine Schwartz was born October 27, 1904, in Anamosa. She was the daughter of John and Lena (Northrup) Wolfe. She attended school in Anamosa. She married Lotus Schwartz in Anamosa, where the couple resided their married life.
