Begun to shingle - it begun to rain - it snowed last night - we shingled a little while after dinner finished one side of the barn 1/4 day

We was puting on batting untill noon 1/2 19 3/4 days

I was to S. S. to day was down to Mr Ecklers to dinner

We was shingleing to day 1 day 20 3/4 days

We was shingleing got through cold to day 1 day 21 3/4 days

Worked at the barn 1 day 22 3/4 days

Thursday, November 17th

Done the same 1 day 23 3/4 days

Friday, November 18th

Laid flooreing 1 day 24 3/4 days

Saturday, November 19th

Puting down the floore & makeing manger 1 day 25 3/4 days - I stayed all night to R. Snyders - Arabell was thare - Sarah Orr died at 8 o'clock this eve

Sunday, November 20th

I was to meeting to day up to John Orrs in the eve - stayed all night to Tom Greens

Monday, November 21st

I was to Sarah Orrs funeral to day - pleasant to day

Tuesday, November 22nd

Worked at the barn 26 3/4 days

Wednesday, November 23rd

Worked at the barn got through 27 3/4 days - settled up & paid - very cold - stayed to Charleys

Thursday, November 24th

Cold this morning - I went to Onslow with Pete Blackmer

Friday, November 25th

I went to Monticello with Charley

Saturday, November 26th

I was makeing floore for By Hall

Sunday, November 27th

I was to Mrs Butlers to dinner then up to Mr Scroggies & back to Charleys

Monday, November 28th

I was helpin Charley & By to thrash to day

Tuesday, November 29th

I was helping Pete Blackmer to thrash for Tom & R Green

Wednesday, November 30th

It rained to day dident do eny thing

Thursday, December 1st

Pleasant to day dident do eny thing

Friday, December 2nd

Helped S. T. Carpenter to thrash for Pete & helped Lue Butler in the after noon

Saturday, December 3rd

It is a snowing to day I took Lyman to Onslow

Pleasant to day - I was to church to day - went to Onslow stayed to Will Hogelbooms all night

Monday, December 5th

I was to Clinton & back to Onslow stayed all night at the Summit House

Tuesday, December 6th

I was to Wyoming in the fore noon - I took the train for Monticello - stayed all night with John Orr

Wednesday, December 7th

I was to Wm Orrs most all day - I stayed all night to Pete Blackmers

Thursday, December 8th

I was to Onslow back to Charleys

Friday, December 9th

I was to Clay Mills & Ozark back to Jo Hannas then to Charleys

Saturday, December 10th

I was to Monticello with Jas Carpenter & Charley - stayed all night

Sunday, December 11th

Lyman & me was a hunting to day - Birt & Alice was here to day - it snowed last night

Monday, December 12th

I was up to Mr Scroggies & Bill Orrs & back to Charleys - he went to Anamosa

Tuesday, December 13th

I was at home - I stayed all night at Tom Greens

Wednesday, December 14th

I went to Onslow with Will Orr stayed all night to Wm Orrs

Thursday, December 15th

I was to Wm Orrs all day stayed all night again

Friday, December 16th

I was down to Charleys & up to Birts stayed all night

Saturday, December 17th

I was up to Johnson town & back to Charleys stayed all night

Sunday, December 18th

Was to church - Jack Mitchell was here to dinner - Jack & me went to Clay Mills to meeting

Monday, December 19th

Jack & me begun to chop wood for Wm Orr 1 day

Tuesday, December 20th

We went to the timber choped a little it begun to rain we came back & went to Charleys then back to Bill Orrs

Wednesday, December 21st

It is mudy - I was to Wm Orrs all day it is raining to day - I was down to Charleys - Lyman was married to day

I was to Charleys all day - mudy & rainy

Friday, December 23rd

I went to Monticello with Charley

I was a choping wood

I was to church & then i went to Robt Snyders to dinner went to Charleys got my satchell came to Tom Greens

We was splitting posts 1 day 3 days

Splitting posts to day 1 day - 4 days - blustering to day - paid
