I worked in the fore noon was around home in the afternoon - W. N. Tippetts folks was here to dinner rained some and thawed to day Saturday, January 2nd I was at home all day it rained most all day - it is offel mudy - Lonie Corbin was buried to day Sunday, January 3rd At home all day it rained some all day the river is raising again Monday, January 4th It snowed a little last night & to day the river is very high to day I butchered my hog to day Tuesday, January 5th The river is going down a little - it froze a little last night Wednesday, January 6th I went to the timber with the teamsters helped Charley Hall to butcher a hog Thursday, January 7th The river gone down it is snowing a little - pleasant Friday, January 8th I wasent doing enything it snowed all day Saturday, January 9th 15 below zero - I was sawing slabs 1/2 day Sunday, January 10th 28 below - I was at home all day very cold Monday, January 11th I was sawing slabs in the fore noon Robt Snyder was here to dinner Tuesday, January 12th 24 below - Robt Snyder was here to day instead of yesterday Wednesday, January 13th Begun to fill the ice house - 1 day Thursday, January 14th I was sawing slabs & carrying saw dust Friday, January 15th I was sawing slabs Saturday, January 16th I dident do eny thing Sunday, January 17th 3 1/2 days this week - we was up to W. Tippetts - 55 years old to day - very mudy & some rain - Bell stayed all night Monday, December 13th I was at work on the selds part of the day Tuesday, December 14th I was down to the mill helped W.N.T. to butcher - it snowed to day some getting cold Wednesday, December 15th I finished W Reyners sleds - I went to the mill & back Thursday, December 16th I was chopping some wood on W Carrs in fore noon - at home after noon - Jo French & wife & Rilla & Lizzie was here Friday, December 17th It snowed this morning & all day Saturday, December 18th I was down after the mail & back - Jo & Vickie went to the crick - Sam Neelan helped me to draw some wood - it snowed some Sunday, Decemebr 19th At home & down to Lees a little while - Lonie & Ray was here a while Monday, December 20th At home chopping wood Tuesday, December 21st To Onslow with Will Mc I was to Mike Lawless to a raffel got 2 chickens Wednesday, December 22nd I fixed Jack Duffys sled Thursday, December 23rd I put up Tom Heffrons rafters in fore noon then put a runer on Peter Smiths sled 25 cts then went to the crick with Jim Lee Friday, December 24th At home all day Bell & children went home this after noon to stay all night Saturday, December 25th I was a hunting a while in fore noon & up to Carrs a while & home the rest of the day alone - it snowed Sunday, December 26th I was to Lees a while & to Atkinsons & home then I was down to the crick - it snowed most all day Monday, December 27th 32 below zero very cold - at home all day Tuesday, December 28th I helped Jim Lee to drive his steers to Canton then back & went to the crick - fixed Mike Dorans sled Wedneday, December 29th I was cutting some wood at home in fore noon & down to the crick after noon - cold all the week Thursday, December 30th I was chopping in fore noon & was working at a bob sled for Mike Lawless Friday, December 31st I was working at the sled in fore noon got done watered the cattle after noon & stayed to home blustering to day |
