15 below z - I was down to the crick after mail Sunday, January 2nd 22 B - I was up to Mr Carrs a while & then to W Reyners & home Jim Lee was here to dinner Monday, January 3rd 23 B I was down to the crick in fore noon then choped wood in after noon a while Tuesday, January 4th I was to work on Will Mc sleds Wednesday, January 5th Down to the mill in the morning & home - Robt Snyder & wife was here I went to Ozark with him - fixed Peter Smiths sled Thursday, January 6th I was fileing my saws in fore noon in after noon I begun a spring seat for Pete Smith Friday, January 7th I made a spring seat & helped Jim Lee to load some straw - very blustering to night Saturday, January 8th Snowing yet this morning I was after the mail & home Sunday, January 9th Pleasant - I was over to Reyners in the morning & home to dinner I drawed 2 loads of wood after noon with Reyners team Monday, January 10th 32 Below z - I was to the circk in fore noon then home & cut wood Tuesday, January 11th At home all day - Jo & Vick & Rilla & Lizzie was here very warm to day Wednesday, January 12th Thawed some I fixed B Leonards sled to day then Mr Takes brought one to be fixed Thursday, January 13th I fixed Takes sled in fore noon he came after it in afternoon Friday, January 14th Pleasant - I was chopping poles in the morning then went to the crick stayed untill after dinner came back chopped a while then came home - it snowed a little most all day Saturday, January 15th I was down to the crick then home brought the Beareau home then Lonie & me took a sack of walnuts down to the crick then I got some lumber to make Viola a cradle & made it Sunday, January 16th Pleasant - I got Jim Lees team & got 2 loads of wood then went to the crick & rode down hill then came home - Jim Lee brought me up 8 bu of Oats Monday, January 17th 7 B - I was down to the crick in the after noon very windy & cold Tuesday, January 18th 24 Below I was down to the crick most all day very cold Wednesday, January 19th At home in fore noon then down to the crick a while Jo & Vick started for home Bell has been to the crick a week to day Thursday, January 20th Very warm - Bell came home this morning - thawing to day colder in after noon I was to the crick after noon Friday, January 21st I was up to Tom Greens to dinner then to Robt Snyders then came home it began to rain at 3 o'clock Saturday, January 22nd It is raining most all day the crick is high I was after the mail Sunday, January 23rd At home it snowed hard most all day Monday, January 24th Warm I made a windlass for T Heffron & put up some girts on his cow barn Tuesday, January 25th I put a rave on Heffrons sled & made Ivah a kife box & went to the crick Wednesday, January 26th At home all day pleasant to day Thursday, January 27th I was down to the crick & fixed Tebos cutter shaves & home at 3 o'clock Friday, January 28th I was down to the crick made a bolster for M. N. Tippett & Jim & Jane Lee was here Monday, February 21st I was chopping a little wood in fore noon then I took Bell & the children down to Russells - I went to the crick with Jim Lee - it snowed this after noon Tuesday, February 22nd I was down to the crick after mail - I took Edie on my hand sled - It snowed some last night - I begun to cut posts for W. N. Tippett Wednesday, February 23rd I was cutting posts in fore noon & at home in the after noon - Bell was sick - Snowed after noon Thursday, February 24th I was at home in the fore noon - I cut a few posts & then went to the crick Friday, February 25th I finished cutting W. N. Tippett was here to dinner Tuesday, March 8th Cut wood fore noon then went to the crick - water high yet Wednesday, March 9th At home fore noon - I was to the crick after noon - water the highest - rained last night Thursday, March 10th At home most all day - made Mrs Tebo a knife box Friday, March 11th I was down to the crick & helped Charley to kill a hog - I was shingleing after noon for Heffron Saturday, March 12th I finished shingleing for Heffron & went after the mail after noon Sunday, March 13th We was down to Lees to day Monday, March 14th I choped wood in fore noon then went to School Meeting Tuesday, March 15th I was after the mail fore noon then cut wood & went to the river - John Young mooved on his Fathers farm Wednesday, March 16th I was to the crick & back & choped some wood then I went to Reyners after Bell Thursday, March 17th I took Bell & the children to the crick we was to Tebos to dinner - I came home they stayed to Charleys all night Friday, March 18th I went to the crick after Bell - we was to her Fathers to dinner Saturday, March 19th I was down after the mail then home & cut some wood Sunday, March 20th I went to Church - I was to Mr Greens to dinner home after church - it is raining a little turned to snow - Bell went with Lees folks down to Geo McCulloughs Monday, March 21st I white washed the kitchen - cut some wood - the ground covered with snow all went off to day very pleasant Tuesday, March 22nd After mail then white washed the bed room then cut some wood - I was over to Heffrons Wednesday, March 23rd At home in fore noon - Rock Ralston stayed untill after dinner then we took our guns & went up to the river to the mill Thursday, March 24th Very windy - I was down to the mill in the morning & home - Mrs Carr & Webster was here after dinner Friday, March 25th Bell went to the mill for hot sugar I was at home all day Saturday, March 26th I was down after the mail & at home the rest of the day - It began to rain at 4,30 o'clock Sunday, March 27th Snowed all day hard & blowed untill middle after noon it cleared off at 3 o'clock - Pleasant, lots of snow Monday, March 28th At home all day - I gave my dog away Tuesday, March 29th Sam Neelands helped me to draw out some wood & put it in the road by Jim Lees then we went to Canton Wednesday, March 30th I was down to the mill Bell was down to Lees - Lewis Lee was up this eve Lizzie Tippett stayed all night Thursday, March 31st I was up to Robt Snyders to day the snow is most all gone again Friday, April 1st I was choping wood in Heffrons field - Ivah & Harry was here to day Saturday, April 2nd After the mail in fore noon & then I cut some wood Sunday, April 3rd I was down to Atkinsons in the morning & was at home the rest of the day - We was over to Reyners a while in the after noon Monday, April 4th It is blustering hard to day Tuesday, April 5th I was chopping wood in fore noon & went hunting & fishing after noon - Bell went to the crick with Mary Reyner after noon Wednesday, April 6th At home all day sawed a little wood at home went to timber with Wm Reyner, very warm to day Thursday, April 7th To the crick in the morning then home again - W. Tippett & my self was up to Pat Agnews to see abought building his grainery - I took Bell to the crick this morning she will stay all night Saturday, April 9th I was down to the crick all day I was a fishing a while then we came home - Aunt Fannie is to Charleys Sunday, April 10th It rained to day Jim Lee was here to dinner - cleared of again this eve Monday, April 11th I planted onion seeds & lettuce & peas & radishes - W. N. Tippett after noon Thursday, October 20th We finished diging W.N.T. potatoes at 10 o'clock - C. Hall came & got 21 bu. of meat - 50 cts per bu. Friday, October 21st We was building a chimney to day Saturday, October 22nd I was helping W. N. Reyner to husk corn to day Sunday, November 6th I was over to Wm Reyners this morning a while Monday, November 7th I helped Reyner to husk one load of corn then went to Cascade after noon - Bell is to the crick Tuesday, November 8th I helped him to husk part of a load then went to Election - I came back alone - Bell came home Wednesday, November 9th It is raining this morning - at home fore noon to the crick after noon Thursday, November 10th I was chopping some wood Friday, November 11th I was down to the crick in the morning - Lizzie came home with me to help Bell wash - she is going to stay all night Saturday, November 12th I was after the mail & then home Sunday, November 13th At home all day - very warm - it is like summer Monday, November 14th At home all day - chopped some wood Tuesday, November 15th To the crick after mail fore noon - home after noon - very warm yet Wednesday, November 16th Pleasant - Bell & me was down to Dick Whites to day Thursday, November 17th I was down to the crick with Wm Reyner Friday, November 18th Cloudy - I was a sawing & splitting wood all day Saturday, November 19th I was after mail fore noon & home after noon - it snowed & blowed hard all day - cold Sunday, November 20th At home - pleasant & cold in the morning - warmer the rest of the day - Oren was up this after noon - he cut my hair Monday, November 21st Pleasant - I took 6 chickens down to W. N. Tippetts then home again Tuesday, November 22nd Very foggy - I went to Cascade with Will Mc, Wm Reyner went with us Wednesday, November 23rd I was helping Will Mc to draw straw for John Tebo Thursday, November 24th Thanksgiving - Wm Reyner & me was a hunting got 4 rabbits 1 squirrel - it is sleating to day & snowing some Friday, November 25th I was to the crick this morning - came home & got ready to butcher - I butchered 2 shoats & helped Mr Carr to kill one - Mrs. Palmer was burried to day Saturday, November 26th After the mail to Charleys to dinner then home Sunday, November 27th Very cold this morning & all day - at home Monday, November 28th 16 below - I begun to chop some wood for Mrs Carr & broke my ax & went to the crick to get a new one back & cut wood part of the after noon Tuesday, November 29th Dennis Springer stayed here all night last night - I cut wood a while then went after the mail & back & cut wood part of the after noon Wednesday, November 30th I finished 1 tree for Mrs Carr then took Bell to the crick came back & begun a new sled tongue & roller & sand board for Geo Hanna Thursday, December 1st I was working at Geo Hannas sled most all day then I went to the crick - Bell is to the crick yet Friday, December 2nd At home all day - Geo Hanna came after his sled - it is misty to day Saturday, December 3rd It is raining to day - I took W. N. Tippetts cattle home to day - Harry came home with me & stayed all night Sunday, December 4th At home - it is blustering Monday, December 5th I was to Onslow with Wm Reyner - pleasant to day Tuesday, December 6th I was up to Tom Greens & to Robt Snyders to dinner Wednesday, December 7th I choped wood a while for Mrs Carr then I begun a hand sled - Lizzie Tippett came up this evening stayed all night Thursday, December 8th Makeing a hand sled - was over to M Lawless a while Friday, December 9th I was chopping wood for Mrs Carr to day Saturday, December 10th I cut wood a while then I went after the mail - back & cut wood again - Tom Heffron & Wm Reyner & Jack Foley was here it is a snowing to night Sunday, December 11th I was over to Heffrons & home again - W.N.T. was here to dinner - Roy & Willie & Harry Snyder was here a while Monday, December 12th I was down to the crick fore noon - home after noon & chopped down a tree in Heffrons field - it is snowing this morning - some sleighing Tuesday, December 13th I chopped down two trees on Heffernons field - pleasant to day - Tom & Mag was here this evening Wednesday, December 14th Tom Heffernon drawed wood for me 1/2 day - I choped some after noon Thursday, December 15th Edie & me went to the crick - I split wood 1/2 day for W. N. T. then came home - Edie stayed down Friday, December 16th I was down to the crick fore noon split some wood for W. N. Tippett - brought Edie home Saturday, December 17th I was after the mail fore noon - helped Tom Heffermon to butcher beef Sunday, December 18th At home all day - Willie & Harry & Charley Herrington was here Monday, December 19th I was cutting wood at home Tuesday, December 20th At home - it snowed hard all day steady Wednesday, December 21st Blustering & cold - I was at home all day Thursday, December 22nd I was to Cascade with Tom Heffron - pleasant Friday, December 23rd Blustering - At the crick fore noon at home the rest of the day Saturday, December 24th I was at the crick fore noon & after noon - good sleighing - lots of snow - waiting for Santa Claus Sunday, December 25th W. N. Tippett & wife was here to dinner - had a goose - Jack & Lizzie & Henry Ray was here in the evening - It snowed a little most all day Monday, December 26th I chopped & sawed 4 trees for Jack Orr - I begun to fix Bill Sinkeys sled Tuesday, December 27th I went to Onslow with Pete Hertz & back with Johnny Neelans - it snowed & blowed hard all day from the North Wednesday, December 28th 16 below zero - clear & pleasant - I was to the crick fore noon and at home after noon - I worked a little while on Bill Sinkeys sled - cold this evening Thursday, December 29th 22 below - I finished Bill Sinkeys sled fore noon - I was down to H. Rays after noon - pleasant to day - warmer after noon Friday, December 30th I was to the school house to see if H. Ray had got the lumber for a black board - it snowed & blowed hard all day from the S. E. Saturday, December 31st I was down to the crick fore noon & at home after noon - it snowed hard this morning then it rained some then fogy the rest of the day |
